Casey Ruggieri, Actress sits down for a lively chat with Mother Love about her career, working with Ben Affleck in "Gone Girl" and much more.
About Casey
Casey Ruggieri was born in Rochester, New York as one of five children. She grew up with a love for acting, often playing characters and performing sketches for her friends and family as a small child. She soon became a star in high school where she excelled in drama classes and often performed in school plays such as "Midsummer Night's Dream," and "The Diary of Anne Frank."
Although she loved acting and performing, she also had a love for the camera, becoming a talented photographer and videographer. But when young Casey had particularly emotional scene as Kate in "The Taming of the Shrew," she realized acting was her true calling and immediately immersed herself in the craft. She went on to Ithaca College and earned a degree in Cinema Production before moving to New York briefly to study acting.
Casey soon found Hollywood calling and less than a year after arriving in the Big Apple, she was off to Los Angeles to become a professional actor. She then enrolled in acting and improvisation classes and quickly found support of filmmakers who saw Casey's unique ability to create believable comedic and dramatic characters. She then booked her first commercial, for Ashley Furniture before being cast in films like "A Numbers Game," "29,000 Wishes. 1 Regret," the TV series "Beverly Hills Salon," and more recently in such shows as "House of Lies," with Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell, Comedy Central's "The Kroll Show," and the smash hit David Fincher film "Gone Girl," starring Ben Affleck. Today, Casey spends her spare time enjoying TV comedies and horror movies, as well as films by David Fincher, Stanley Kubrick, Steven Spielberg and others. She also listens to music that ranges from rock and pop to rhythm and blues and blue grass.
