Gregg T. Daniel, Director, Karole Foreman, Actress & John Prosky, Actor join Mother Love in studio to chat about the rare revival of Wedding Band: A Love/Hate Story in Black and White by Alice Childress. Set in 1918 on South Carolina's Gullah Coast, Wedding Band is the profoundly poignant and affecting story of Julia and Herman, two people in love who yearn to be together as husband and wife, but are held apart by society's mores and laws prohibiting interracial marriage. 
Wedding Band runs Oct. 18 through Dec. 7 at the Antaeus Theater in NoHo
About Gregg
Gregg T. Daniel most recently directed the New Jersey premiere of playwright Katori Hall's The Mountaintop at Cape May Stage. In 2013, he received a Best Director nomination from the NAACP Theatre Awards for the West Coast premiere of Kwame Kwei-Armah's Elmina's Kitchen. (The production won in the category of Best Ensemble.) For the Group Repertory Theatre, he directed a critically acclaimed production of Lee Blessing's Cobb. Additionally for GRT, he has directed Tom Stoppard's translation of Heroes and Frank McGuinness's Someone Who'll Watch Over Me. He is the Artistic Director and a founding member of Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble for which he directed the West Coast premiere of Mustapha Matura's, Three Sisters After Chekhov. He is a graduate of New York University's School of the Arts and a member of the Antaeus Company. Gregg is an accomplished actor who has appeared on stages across the country including Mark Taper Forum (Joe Turner), South Coast Repertory (Death of a Salesman, Fences) and the Pasadena Playhouse (Jitney).

Recently appeared as Diana Goodman in Cal Rep's production of Next to Normal. Her performance won an OC Weekly BEST OF 2014 Award for Best Actress. Karole also appeared as Caroline in PCPA's production of Caroline or Change.
