About LaRita
LaRita Shelby has been a host and motivator since her teen years. Her warmth and wit has sparked many events and she's been a source of inspiration for youth and adults around the globe. Miss Shelby's roots extend from Tennessee to Washington, D. C. to Los Angeles, California where she earned her B. A. Degree at Loyola Marymount University. LaRita is a former Miss Black Memphis, Miss Black Tennessee, Miss Black World and Miss Rho-mania (Sigma Gamma Rho's teen queen). This jazzy lady is a proud mother of one son (Justin) and a legacy member of Sigma Gamma Rho's Sigma Sigma Chapter in Los Angeles.

About Brandon
Brandon Bowlin is an actor, writer, comedian and former student at the London Shakespeare studio. Brandon is also a political commentator, satirist and animator. He is currently the host of thedarkroome.com, which began as an underground radio show, transformed into a comedy club, and now serves as an on-line venue to host creative, political and artistic debates and discussions. While performing stand-up in Los Angeles, his prolific blogging on social and political issues attracted the attention of the Los Angeles Sentinel who hired him to blog on the Sentinel's website. In 2003, Bowlin and civil rights attorney Joshua Arce began battling the use of historic preservation districts to gentrify North Pasadena, that effort became the Brightline Defense Project in 2005; for which Brandon is currently serves as the director.
