About Nita She is a Sickle Cell Advocate Educator and 20 years as the chair of the grassroots group ; Ambassador Volunteer Bone marrow recruiter for BetheMatch; SoCal Sickle Cell Collaborative Vice President, LAUSD Surrogate Parent and Advocate, World Sickle Cell Day Global Coordinator for Suggested Activities, and so much more!Nita Thompson's main focus is on Sickle Cell, blood donation, bone marrow/stem cell and cord blood educator and advocacy.

Nita represents at blood and marrow drives, community health fairs, runs, as a school and church presenter, Expos, legislative offices, advocacy events, Open Forums, Hospital advocacy, World Sickle Cell Day Cell-a-brations, etc! She works with many Sickle Cell organizations and individuals diagnosed, blood bank centers, is the KIS Foundation's Sickle Cell Liaison and planning committee member, as well as works with other organizations.
